ABOUT US
East Arc Marine is a pioneer manufacturer of custom aluminum plate boats in Eastern Canada, designed for recreational and commercial seafarers alike. Up against the relentless Atlantic, these boats hold strong in coastal waters and are built to last for generations.
Our vessels are engineered to be accurately reproduced using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology, with high-powered routers cutting each marine-grade aluminum hull to exact specifications. Because of this, our build process is integrated with precision from the start.
Seamless craftsmanship ensures East Arc Marine boats deliver long-term value and dependable performance.

The Ecological Advantage of Aluminum Boats

In a warming world, sustainable boating stands out.
Aluminum is a lightweight, fully recyclable material, making it an environmentally responsible choice for modern boat building. Its impressive strength allows for thinner frames, often resulting in lighter hulls compared to fiberglass boats of similar size.
Reduced weight means our vessels require less power to move, improving fuel efficiency and lowering emissions at a time when protecting our oceans is more important than ever.
East Arc Marine is headquartered in Prince Edward Island, Canada, where the ocean plays an integral role in our province’s economy and culture. Our goal is to champion sustainable marine practices and transform the East Coast boat building sector with eco-friendly solutions that have tangible financial benefits.
We help you chart the course from design to launch.

CUSTOM BOAT BUILDS
East Arc Marine specializes in making the toughest aluminium boats tailored to our customers for optimal performance, durability, and style.
Start by choosing a base model. Then, our custom design process allows you to personalize every detail, from the hull to the final fit out. Meanwhile, precise CNC cutting ensures that the foundations of our vessels are built exactly as expected, every time.
No matter what modifications you request, we digitally rebalance each hull’s geometry from the standard design to accommodate any adjustments. Our fleet of designs contains everything from recreational and utility boats to specialty vessels and commercial watercraft. East Arc Marine supports endless plate boat possibilities, always constructed using heavy-gauge aluminum that is meant to withstand the East Coast’s roughest marine conditions.

WELDING & FABRICATION
East Arc Marine prioritizes quality workmanship so that our products deliver strength, reliability, and long-term functionality.
Since 2019, our main fabrication shop has operated locally with a team of experts who can solve just about any problem. Outside of our aluminum plate boat building, we also offer practical welding and metal fabrication services for your convenience.
Our shop can accommodate structural repairs, reinforcements, and custom metal fabrication, along with straightforward fixes on motorbikes, tractors, trailers, and farm equipment. Put simply, if it’s metal and it needs to be repaired, restored or replaced, we can help you. Above all, the work we put out is always backed by clean welds, solid craftsmanship and East Coast pride.
BENEFITS OF CNC ALUMINUM BOATS
Proven engineering: LOCAL BUILDS, internationally TRUSTED DESIGNS.
Aluminum is strong in rough waters and challenging conditions. It is resilient against significant impacts, preventing cracking or breaking.
Aluminum boats are fully recyclable, making them an eco-friendly option when preserving the ocean’s integrity is more important than ever. Additionally, the production of aluminum is less resource-intensive than fiberglass.
Aluminum has corrosion-resistant properties (especially in freshwater environments) due to a natural protective oxide layer that forms on its surface when exposed to oxygen. Less maintenance and longer boat lifespan.
Aluminum boats are built to last, often enduring 30–50 years or more with proper care. Aluminum resists osmosis, structural fatigue and corrosion when using marine-grade alloys.
Aluminum boats are more fuel efficient because lighter boats require less power to move. This offers significant savings over time for frequent boaters.
Aluminum boats are generally easier and cheaper to repair in the event of damage, so owners can often fix small dents or punctures without professional assistance. Dents and punctures can often be fixed by cutting out the damaged section and welding in a new piece.
Aluminum’s durability is valuable for rough waters, rocky coastlines or environments with debris. Aluminum’s high tensile strength allows it to absorb energy and withstand collisions without fracturing.
Aluminum is naturally resistant to solar radiation, making it less susceptible to sun damage than fiberglass.
For boaters who plan to keep their vessel for decades (or pass down to a family member) the longevity of aluminum boats makes them a favourable long-term investment. Alternatively, they tend to retain a high resale value as the boat’s condition is likely to remain strong over time.
Aluminum boats are lightweight in nature making for easy handling on and off the water. They’re easier to tow, launch and retrieve, which is significantly advantageous for solo boaters or those with smaller vehicles.
Aluminum boats are highly customizable because aluminum is a flexible material that can be easily modified. This opens the door to personalized builds and bespoke designs based on specific needs (ex: extra storage, seating, unique layouts, specialized equipment).
